Duties

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA):
Conducting systematic HIRA to identify potential hazards in operations, using methodologies like Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Regulatory Compliance Management: Ensuring compliance with specific regulations such as OSHA standards, API regulations, and local environmental laws, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation.

Safety Audits and Inspections:
Performing comprehensive safety audits using checklists and compliance verification techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of safety management systems and identify gaps in safety practices.

Emergency Preparedness and Response:
Developing and maintaining emergency response plans, including conducting drills and simulations, and ensuring that all personnel are trained in emergency procedures.

Training and Competency Development:
Designing and delivering specialized training programs on topics such as hazardous materials handling, confined space entry, and incident reporting protocols, and ensuring all employees meet competency standards.

Incident Reporting and Investigation:
Utilizing root cause analysis (RCA) techniques to investigate incidents and near misses, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective and preventive actions.

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA):
Conducting EIAs to evaluate the potential environmental effects of projects, and implementing measures to mitigate negative impacts on air, water, and land resources.

Behavioral Safety Programs:
Implementing behavioral-based safety initiatives to analyze and improve worker behaviors related to safety, using techniques such as safety observations and feedback sessions.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
